ENTRECOTE WITH WINE AND ONION SAUCE



Meat and wine are the winning combo! The preparation of this dish requires patience. It’s easy to enjoy your life, you just have to prepare an entrecote with wine and onion sauce.



Entrecote wine sauce and onion compote with baked potatoes


Ingredients

  • Butter

  • Entrecote

  • 2 Large red onions

  • 1 L of red wine

  • Freshly ground pepper

  • Medium-sized potatoes

Instructions

  1. Brush the potatoes, washed beforehand, keeping the skin, with olive oil and salt.

  2. Wrap them in aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour at 220 °C.

  3. Chop the red onions and fry them in a saucepan with butter and 2 pinches of ground pepper.

  4. When the red onions are very colorful, crackle and start to catch on the pan, deglaze ABUNDANTLY with red wine, about 1/3 L.

  5. Reduce, then add more butter and wine until you get a syrupy juice.

  6. After searing the meat on both sides, add some of the sauce to cook the meat with it. Take out the potatoes, then Dress!
