ONION BEEF 2.0





The traditional beef with onions is much thicker, richer, and denser thanks to maizena. When I got into the oven, I already had my ready bib and my onions, however I had no maizena. I wanted a beef with onions, but with fresher notes of coriander and pepper bird, but different from the traditional recipe. That’s why I prepared a sauce based on salted soy sauce, honey, ginger, sesame oil. Accompanied by white basmati rice, this dish is easy to make and is a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • Soy sauce

  • Honey

  • Sesame oil

  • Ginger

  • Basmati rice

  • Steak

  • White onions

  • Red onions

  • Coriander

  • Chili pepper

Instructions


  1. Prepare the beef marinade with soy sauce, honey (if the soy sauce is not sweet), grated ginger, and sesame oil. Taste to balance the sauce.

  2. Cut the beef and marinate during the rest of the preparation.

  3. Prepare your basmati rice.

  4. Chop the onions as pictured and fry them in sesame oil.

  5. Add the meat to the pan with the onions and a little bit of ginger. Don’t wait too long for the onions to caramelize. Pour in the whole marinade sauce.

  6. Chop the peppers and coriander then add them to the beef.

  7. Add the sesame seeds at the end, serve with the rice, and you’re done.
