SANDWICH ROSBEEF & ANTIPASTI

Like any sandwich, this one is made to eat quickly. However, its preparation is a little longer. The only step that requires time is the cooking of the roast beef. With nuts, grapes and good cheese for dessert, you have a full meal, fast, but especially delicious. For antipastis, I highly recommend the Sacla brand but if you can go directly to an Italian caterer, it’s even better! You can put in your sandwich all kinds of antipasti, I put zucchini and sun-dried tomatoes, but you can put marinated artichokes, etc! Mozzarella is optional, but if you’re a big gourmand, you can put it on.

Ingredients

  • Antipasti (Sun dried tomatoes, pickled zucchini, pickled artichoke)

  • Balsamic velvet

  • Olive oil

  • Mozzarella di bufala

  • Roast beef

  • Arugula salad

  • Loaf of country bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220 °C.

  2. Sear your roast beef on each side in a pan with olive oil over high heat.

  3. Bake your piece of meat for 25 minutes (cooking as in the photos: rare).

  4. Season your arugula with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper.

  5. When the roast beef is done, take the meat out of the oven and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

  6. Cut, while waiting, your mozzarella

  7. Before starting the assembly, absorb the meat juice with the bread and add olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

  8. Cut your meat as thinly as possible (use a cutting machine if you have one).

  9. Assemble the sandwich elements and enjoy!
